About

An engineering business with a commercial half.

SynapseAI is a small industrial technology company registered in Ireland, working across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Where it comes from

It started in control rooms and in the accounts that buy from them.

Two decades of the work behind this company were spent on operating plants and in front of industrial customers: engineering and commissioning automation systems, improving control performance, and later selling industrial technology into process industries across EMEA and Asia.

That combination is unusual, and it is the reason the company has the shape it does. Most people in this sector are one or the other — the engineer who cannot sell, or the salesperson who cannot answer a technical objection. Having done both makes it obvious why so much good industrial technology never reaches the plants that need it, and why so many plants buy technology that does not fit them.

Why the company exists

Two problems that kept appearing.

01

Plants cannot use what they already know

Every site holds decades of operating knowledge — in loops that were tuned once and never revisited, in incident reports nobody reads, in the head of the engineer who is retiring in March. It is not that the knowledge is missing. It cannot be reached at the moment a decision has to be made.

02

Good technology does not reach the buyer

Companies with genuinely useful industrial products stall — not on engineering, but on market access. A refinery in the Gulf will not buy from a company it has never heard of, with no local presence and no reference in its own industry, no matter how good the product is.

The software addresses the first. The commercialisation work addresses the second. The consulting sits across both, because in practice the same conversation keeps coming up on either side of the table.

How we work

Four things a customer can hold us to.

01

We say when the answer is no

Including when the problem does not need software, does not need us, or does not justify the spend at all. That answer is given early, not after a paid discovery phase.

02

No hardware margin

SynapseAI takes no reseller margin on third-party automation hardware. Technology recommendations are not shaped by what would be most profitable to supply.

03

Claims carry evidence

We do not publish performance figures we cannot support. Where a product is in development, it is labelled in development — on every page it appears on.

04

The work is done by the person you meet

This is a small company. There is no gap between the person in the first conversation and the person doing the engineering.
